Calculate your donation tax reduction
A donation to a charity gives you a 66% income-tax reduction — even 75% for organisations helping people in hardship. Estimate your reduction and the real cost of your gift.
Reduction capped at 20% of taxable income. Indicative estimate — the charity’s receipt is what counts.
How does the donation tax reduction work?
In France, a donation to a general-interest charity or foundation gives an income-tax reduction equal to 66% of the amount given, capped at 20% of taxable income. For organisations helping people in hardship (food, care, housing), the rate rises to 75% up to €2,000 of donations per year — the ceiling was raised from €1,000 to €2,000 for donations made since 14 October 2025 — then back to 66% beyond.
Note: this is a tax reduction, not a tax credit. It only benefits taxable households. If you owe no income tax, you recover nothing — but your donation still funds the charity.
